Many people are drawn to poker because success is attainable as long as players have the strategies and skillsets required. Unlike casino games that rely purely on luck, such as slots or roulette, poker necessitates additional measures for increasing your likelihood of winning. At an online casino like GoodLuckMate, you can find all sorts of variations of poker games – something to suit every type of player!

So, who are they? Which poker players have made the game an art form? Here are the most accomplished poker players of all time…

1: Bryn Kenney – $56.4 Million

Bryn Kenney is the most accomplished player of all time. In 2019, he had a spectacular year, climbing to the top of the leaderboard and earning $20,563,324 at the Triton Million.

He began his live cash career in 2007, and he has been winning ever since. In 2014, he won a WSOP bracelet, and he made it to the final table of the WSOP seven times in all. He’s performed well at PokerStars Championships, including successful runs at tournaments in Asia, Europe, and North America. Kenney has also cashed in at the Aussie Millions and the EPT Barcelona.

2: Justin Bonomo – $53.2 Million

We also have his US counterpart, Justin Bonomo, who has won $53.2 million playing poker. After winning the 2018 WSOP $1 million Big One for One Drop, Bonomo took the top place and amassed $10 million in his back pocket… rocketing him to the top of the heap. Given how close he is, there’s a chance he could reclaim the title at any moment.

Bonomo’s first recorded cash was back in 2005, but it wasn’t until 2011 that he began to make waves. That year, he won the $25k High Roller at the Bellagio Cup IV for $871,148. Since then, his results have been nothing short of stellar. He has three WSOP bracelets to his name and has made 27 final tables. Bonomo’s also had success on the European Poker Tour, with a win at the 2014 EPT Monte Carlo €100k Super High Roller.

He had an incredible year in 2018 and managed to win money almost every time he played. He is a 3-time WSOP bracelet winner – as well as managed another ten wins at several high-roller tournaments across the world that same year. This includes a $5 million win at the May Aria Super High Roller Bowl $300,000 NLHE event followed by another massive $4.8 million at the Macau Super High Roller Bowl’s $300 million NLHE tournament. His success doesn’t seem like it will be stopping anytime soon, making him a force to reckon with!

3: Daniel Negreanu – $42.2 Million

In third place is Daniel ‘Kid Poker’ Negreanu, who until recently held the number one spot for several years. His impressive career includes 6 WSOP bracelets, 38 final table appearances, and 108 total amounts of cash. He was even inducted into the prestigious Poker Hall of Fame in 2014.

Negreanu began playing poker professionally in Toronto back in 1997 and has been killing it ever since. He’s won WSOP events like the $2,500 Seven-Card Razz, the $2,500 Limit Hold’em, and the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Handed. His biggest cash to date came in 2013 when he finished second at the WSOP $1 million Big One for One Drop for a massive payday of $8,288,001.

While Bryn Kenney holds the title for the most money earned playing poker, Daniel Negreanu is considered by many to be the best player in the world. His skills at the table are undeniable, as is his ability to read people and situations. He’s also a fantastic teacher and has written several best-selling books on the subject of poker. If you’re looking to improve your game, there’s no better person to learn from than Daniel Negreanu.

4: Fedor Holz – $41 Million

In fourth place is German pro Fedor Holz, who has amassed an impressive $41 million in live tournament winnings. Holz began playing poker while he was still a student and quickly began making a name for himself. In 2015, he won the prestigious $111,111 High Roller for ONE DROP at the WSOP for a massive payday of $3,463,500.

He followed that up with an even bigger score in 2016, when he won the Super High Roller Bowl for $5 million. He also made it to the final table of the WSOP Main Event in 2017, finishing in 7th place for a cool $3 million. Holz has also had success on the EPT, with a win at the 2016 EPT Grand Final Super High Roller.

While Fedor Holz is no longer playing poker full-time, he’s still one of the best players in the world. His skills at reading people and making big calls are second to none, and he’s proven time and again that he has what it takes to win. If you’re looking for someone to take your game to the next level, Fedor Holz is definitely worth checking out.

5: Christoph Vogelsang – $32 Million

Rounding out the top 5 is German pro Christoph Vogelsang, who has amassed an impressive $32 million in live tournament winnings. Vogelsang began playing poker while he was still a student and quickly began making a name for himself.

Vogelsang has also had success on the EPT, with a win at the 2016 EPT Grand Final Super High Roller.

While Christoph Vogelsang is no longer playing poker full-time, he’s still one of the best players in the world. His skills at reading people and making big calls are second to none, and he’s proven time and again that he has what it takes to win. If you’re looking for someone to take your game to the next level, Christoph Vogelsang is definitely worth checking out.

These are just a few of the most accomplished poker players in the world. While many others have had great success in the game, these three stand out as the best of the best. If you’re looking to take your poker playing to the next level, studying their strategies and gameplay is a good place to start!
