Shopify NFT merchandisers can now use the “ tokengating ” tools to mandate which tokenholders can and can not gain access to exclusive products, NFT drops and benefits
Crypto-friendlye-commerce mammoth Shopify has launched a suite of blockchain commerce tools to enhance the stoner experience of their Web3- concentrated stores hosted by the platform.
Publicizing the move via Twitter on Feb. 9, Shopify blockchain team [email protected] noted, “ we ’ve launched some fresh tools to help you buidl tokengating apps for Shopify merchandisers. ”
In particular, expanded crypto portmanteau connect features and “ tokengating ” operation programming interface( API) tools have been stressed. The ultimate has been in early access beta access mode since June 2022 and was preliminarily only available to a select number of merchandisers.
With tokengating, all applicable Shopify merchandisers can now set up their stores to mandate which tokenholders can and can not gain access to exclusive products, nonfungible commemorative( NFT) drops and benefits.
The tool verifies stoner eligibility via their connected portmanteau and is being touted as a handy way for NFT merchandisers to award certain druggies or add exclusivity to specific products.
In terms of expanded crypto portmanteau support, Shopify has integrated with the sign- heft with Ethereum( SIWE) protocol led by the Ethereum Name Service( ENS) and the Ethereum Foundation.
